Though opinions may differ whether the Holy Bible preaches about the compulsion of meditation for every Christian or not yet everyone agrees that there are many Benefits of Meditation. Besides being a relaxation exercise, it plays a vital role in the orientation of the heart, mind, body and soul. Now coming back to the topic, the first question that comes to mind is what is Christian meditation?
Christian meditation is nothing but a way of meditation in the Christian way. It is an effective way to take the self closer to the Almighty. Some believe that The Bible says that it is the duty of every Christian to meditate all times of the day whereas the opinions which disagree with this belief are also no less in number.
However, to understand the Christian Meditation one has to think above these controversies. The meditation aims at the over-all development of a human being covering each and every aspect be it Mental, physical, spiritual or intellectual and not thinking about anything else. It provides an easy way to have a one-to-one conversation with the Almighty. With deep concentration three times a day by meditating for at least 10 to 15 minutes, anyone of us can have the experience of God’s Word.
Before sleeping at night, after waking up in the morning and by meditating at a particular time of the day regularly one can get the heart, mind, body as well as soul fulfilled by the nectar of ultimate bliss given the Almighty. Christian meditation can also be done by reciting Christian prayers or a Bible verse.
Concentrate on the words you are reciting and cherish the moment as if you are in the God’s hands. Talk to him without uttering a word and tell him whatever you want. Listen to what HE says and when the conversation is over, thank HIM for everything. Christian meditation is not much different from other types of meditation especially Communion Meditation yet it provides a deep satisfaction which is very rare to experience in today’s complex world. The more you practice the more closer you feel to the Almighty and feel contented.
We hope the above account would be quite beneficial in the better understanding of the Christian Meditation as it would help a great deal in keeping your mind free from any stress, worry, depression or tension of the human world.
